Hely Patsy
 

b. 1947, Sydney. Patsy Hely is one of Australia’s foremost contemporary ceramic artists. Graduating from the National Art School, East Sydney in 1979 she led the way to a new style of brighter, bolder and more refined contemporary ceramics wheel throwing, hand building and decorating and later slip casting porcelain. She works in limited edition and one off pieces. An inspired educator, Hely now teaches at the ANU School of Art where she is currently a PhD candidate.
