Ceramics Artist

Moon Milton

Milton Moon is one of Australia's major ceramic artists. In 1960 he became a full time potter and teacher working from a studio in the Adelaide Hills. He was awarded a foundation Winston Churchill Fellowship in 1966 for studies in many countries and in 1974 he received a Myer Foundation Geijutsu Fellowship to live in Japan for one year. At eighty years of age he continues to make those pots that reflect the country of his birth yet pay tribute to the places which added to their burnish.
